Japanese arrested for distorting national flag

The Mount Lavinia police today arrested a Japanese who was alleged to have printed a distorted version of the Sri Lankan national flag on post cards.

He was arrested at the Mount Lavinia Post Office while in the process of mailing the 42 post cards to Japan.

The man had distorted the national flag by replacing the image of the lion with a panda. He will be produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate today. (M.S Perera)
