Jaffna journalist attacked

An unknown gang consisting of five persons has reportedly brutally attacked a Jaffna based journalist of the “Uthayan” daily newspaper near the Jaffna Hindu College

Journalist S. Kavitharan was attacked in this manner and was admitted to the Jaffna hospital after the attack. A police complaint in this regard has also been made and the police are conducting further investigations. (Kavisuki)
