Most parts of the country will experience showers and thunder showers together with strong winds.

The Gulf of Mannar including the Western, Southern, South Eastern areas will be experiencing winds of 20 to 40 kilometres per hour, and winds might reach 45 to 50 kilometres per hour, in some areas, the Department of Meteorology said.

The public especially the fishermen are advised to make their decisions carefully while the Department of Meteorology has not issued a specific warning about going to sea. (SR)
