Iran to participate in Ozone Layer meeting in SL

Iran plans to take part in the South Asia Network of Ozone Officers meeting which is scheduled to be held from May 27-30 at the Grand Oriental Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The meeting is organized by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) - Compliance Assistance Program (CAP) in collaboration with the National Ozone Unit, the southasianmedia.net reported.

This Network Meeting is an annual event planned by the Ozone Secretariat of the Montreal Protocol.

The Ozone Officers Network for South Asia is managed by UNEP as part of its global networking under the Ozone Action Branch.

Member countries of the Network include: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Iran, North Korea, South Korea, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and two developed countries: Japan and United States.
