India’s Fortis buys into Lanka Hospitals

Fortis Healthcare, one of the leading hospitals chains India has acquired a 29 percent stake in Sri Lanka’s Lanka Hospitals Plc, formerly Appolo for a sum of Rs.4 billion.

The seller is believed to be Distilleries Plc controlled by business tycoon Harry Jayewardene.
