Three persons have been arrested for assaulting an Indian sculptor who was working on  Asia’s largest granite statue which is under construction in Moneragala. The sculptor was one of ten scultpors who arrived in the island to oversee the work on the staute.

It was revealed that the 42 year old Chennai resident was brutally assaulted by there youth residents over a personal dispute. (Mohammad Buhardeen)
