Indian arrested for indecent behaviour inside plane

An Indian was arrested by the Katunayake Airport Police today when he was found behaving indecently inside an airplane after consuming alcohol.

The plane was bound to Mumbai from Colombo. But the flight was delayed the 54-year-old person was a disturbance and an annoyance to the rest of the passengers.

Attempts made by the crew to subdue him had failed and therefore the airline crew took immediate steps to take him out of the plane and hand him over to the airport police.

Police Headquarters said the passenger was being questioned. (Supun Dias)
