Indian Air Chief arrives

The Indian Air Force Commander, Air Chief Marshal P.V. Naik arrived in Sri Lanka a short while ago and was received by Sri Lankan Air Force Chief, Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

An Indian delegation accompanying the Indian Air Chief also arrived in the island this afternoon. It comprised of Air Coordinator, Air Commodore Vivek Ram Chandhari, Squadron Leader Sangeeth Kathait (ADC) and spouse of the Indian Air Chief, Madam Madhubala Naik.
 
The Indian Air Chief is expected to call on the Head of State, the Minister of External Affairs,   the Defence Secretary, and Commanders of the tri forces. He is also scheduled to visit the Flying Squadrons of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
 
Air Chief Marshal Naik was commissioned to the Indian Air Force on 21 June, 1969 and is a qualified and vastly experienced flying instructor and a fighter combatant leader.
