Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan today revealed that organizers of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) didn’t want him to attend the IIFA event in Sri Lanka last year.

According to the ApunKaChoice.com, “IIFA has told the superstar that his services are no longer required for IIFA to be held in Toronto this year.”

In June last year, after a call from the South Indian film industry to boycott IIFA in Sri Lanka, Big B had failed to turn up at the event because he allegedly did not want his son and daughter-in-law’s movie Raavan to face any protests at home.

“Not coming to Toronto IIFA... IIFA says my services are not required,” Big B tweeted.

When asked why he is ditching his fans in Toronto, Big B clarified: “It’s not me .. it’s the organizers of IIFA that do not want me in Toronto.. Sri Lanka was the same.”
