My security withdrawn: Hirunika

UPFA Western Provincial Councillor Hirunika Premachandra’s security was withdrawn hours after she pledged her support for common opposition candidate Maithripala Sirisena.

“Two policemen who were stationed at my home were withdrawn and I have been immediately asked to return the vehicle assigned to me. This morning, my mother was removed from the post of presidential advisor,” Hirunika told Daily Mirror online.

She said she was ready to leave the official residence given to her family by the government at Summit Flats whenever they were asked to do so.
Hirunika said no one could stop her from working for the victory of Mr. Sirisena at the forthcoming presidential election by withdrawing such facilities and by intimidating her. (Indika Sri Aravinda)
