Hisbullah to resign to contest

Eastern Province Minister M.L.A.M. Hisbullah has decided to resign from his provincial council post to contest the upcoming General Elections.

Speaking to Daily Mirror online, the Eastern Province Minister said that he will hand over his resignation letter to the Eastern Province governor Mohan Wijeywickrama on the 26th of this month.

Hisbullah was elected to the Eastern Provincial Council in 2008 after contesting under the UPFA ticket. Mr. Hisbullah told Daily Mirror online that he will contest the General Elections under the UPFA.
