The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) said today abstaining from voting at this election would be an act of support for the UPFA Government.

JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake accused the Rajapaksa regime of using this election to stay in power for six more years and is solely focusing on this matter. This is why the government is using Geneva as a tool,” he said

People should be alert and use their votes wisely and avoid the country from getting caught up in more corruption during the next six years as well.  (Yohan Perera and Sanath Desmond)
