DNA Leader General Sarath Fonseka told Parliament this evening that he was prevented from coming to Parliament to attend the consultative committee meetings despite a Court order.

He called on Lawyers and Judges to come forward to change what he termed as the present lawless situation. He said that the rule of law is neglected today. General Sarath Fonseka stressed the need to establish good governance in the country upholding the rights of its citizens.

Commenting on the fast-unto-death staged by Minister Wimal Weerawansa, he asked how tiny Sri Lankan could take on the UN in such a manner. (KB & YP)
