Several areas including Attanagalla, Rajagiriya, Maharagama and some roads in Fort were flooded late last night and today due to the heavy rain fall experienced in many parts of the island last night. The highest rainfall was recorded from Angoda with a rainfall of 148.1mm, the Metrological Department told Daly Mirror online.
The intensity of the rain fall will be reduced today and some thunder showers can be expected in different parts of the country the Metrological Department told Daly Mirror online. Further the maximum duration for the downpour is expected to be half an hour, The North and North Central areas will be mostly affected the Metrological Department said.
