Sri Lankan Cricket coach Paul Farbrace had indicated to the Sri Lanka Cricket officials this morning that he had not made a decision regarding his career despite receiving a more lucrative offer from the England and Wales Cricket Board.

“We met him this morning and we had a very cordial discussion with him. He didn’t demand for anything from us, but said that the ECB had provided him with an attractive package,” SLC Secretary Nishantha Ranathunga told the Daily Mirror Online.

Ranathunga said that there was implication that Farbrace was looking at the ECB offer positively.

“We indicated that we would like him to be with us, he is yet to make a decision which would be communicated to us shortly,” Ranathunga said.

The Executive Committee is scheduled to meet later this evening in order to be briefed about what transpired during the discussion with Farbrace. (HF)
