CID seeks public assistance over Lasantha murder probe

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today requested the people to contact the CID if they have any information regarding the murder of Sunday Leader Editor Lasantha Wickrematunge.

Mr. Wickrematunge was shot in the head at Atthidiya in Dehiwala on January 08, 2009, by two gunmen arrived in a motorcycle.

Police Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara said people could contact the CID on 071 8591753 or 071 8591770 if they have any information regarding the murder. (Darshana Sanjeewa)
