The Nugegoda Magistrate has directed the Mount Lavinia Division Probation officer to find ways of providing English medium education to the two children of Sakvithi Ranasinghe who are presently kept at the Child Development Centre.

The Magistrate gave the direction to a Probation Officer consequent to being informed that the two children had already obtained education in the English medium at an international school and that the shift to Sinhala medium will put the children in a 'difficult situation'.

Meanwhile the Probation Officer has stated that the children are leading a normal life but that their grandparents are reluctant on taking over their custody due to the difficulty of providing security for the children.
