Elusive JVP rebel leaders family detained

The wife and 2 children of elusive leader of the JVP’s rebel group, Kumar Gunarathnam also known as 'Kumar Mahaththaya' were detained at the Bandaranaike International Airport a short while ago according to the Police.

However when contacted by the Daily Mirror, rebel member Chameera Koswatthe said that they have not received confirmation of the detention and have deployed a member of their group at the airport to appraise them of the situation.( Kelum Bandara)
