At least eight people had been injured following a head on collision of a private bus and an navy truck in the Mirisgoniya Junction at Dambulla this morning, the Police said.

Bus was heading to Colombo from Kalmunai and the Army truck was heading to Trincomalee from Welisara.

The injured were admitted to the Dambulla Hospital. (Chaturanga Pradeep)
