The Divisional Secretary of Monaragala Badalkumbura was arrested today by officials of the Bribery Commission, for allegedly soliciting a sexual favour from a woman who had sought his official duties.

The woman had informed the Bribery Commission about the continuous sexual favours requested by the Divisional Secretary after which officials had laid a trap.

On instructions from the officials, the woman had told the Secreraty to come to a hotel in Badulla where the arrest was made
