The Polit Bureau and the Central Committee of the Democratic People’s Front (DPF) will meet tomorrow to take its final decision on the party's future relations with the United National Party (UNP), DPF Leader Mano Ganesan told Daily Mirror online.

“We will meet tomorrow afternoon and make our final decision,” Mano Ganesan said.

The DPF yesterday announced that it has split from the United National Front (UNF) over the failure by the Opposition Leader Ranil Wickramasinghe to allocate a national list slot for the DPF Leader who had lost the recent General Elections.

DPF National Organiser and brother of Mano Ganesan, Member of Parliament Prabha Ganesan told Daily Mirror online that the party had run into problems with the UNF when the opposition had finalized its national list slots for parliament on Wednesday and therefore decided to split from the alliance.

Daily Mirror online learns that the DPF has been having discussions with the government after the latter learnt of the party’s decision to split from the opposition and invited them to join the UPFA.
