President Mahinda Rajapaksa today charged that certain countries, international organisations and groups interpret human rights, war crimes and collateral damage, during conflicts, in small countries like Sri Lanka in a different perspective in order to suit their agendas.

Addressing the ‘Rotary South Asia Conference on Development and Corporation’ in Colombo this morning President Rajapaksa stressed that Sri Lanka has proved, for the first time, to the world that terrorism can be defeated and peace and democracy can be fully restored. (S .A. J)
