The Health Ministry has warned that dengue cases are likely to rise due to the strong showers in the coming weeks and has urged the public to take pre cautionary measures.

The Ministry said that over 9000 cases of dengue have already been reported islandwide with over 500 reported in March alone.

Sixty deaths have also been reported since January this year and the numbers are likely to rise, the Ministry said. (ISA)
