Despite the financial losses the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) suffers, its Chairman had been provided with six luxury vehicles including a BMW, the main opposition UNP charged today.

“Since 2007 the Chairman had three Mitsubishi Monteros,’ UNP Spokesman Gayantha Karunathilake charged at a news conference early today.

“Recently a Land Rover Defender and a double Cab was provided to him. While the CPSTL is showing heavy loses the authorities had given him a BMW vehicle that is worth Rs. 12 million,” he said.

He said cheap fuel deals and corrupt employees were contributing to the losses at CPSTL and added these loses would create a further price hike in fuel. (YP & LSP)
