N’cholai employees arrested

The Puttalam police arrested nine suspects including three employees of the Norochcholai thermal power plant while attempting to transport two million rupees worth of  60m-70m long copper wire roles stolen from the power plant.


Three of the nine suspects were workers at the plant while the others had allegedly assisted in transporting the wire roles. The suspects were apprehended by the police when they were being checked at the Nawakkaduwa police post.

The Puttalam Magistrate remanded the nine suspects today till the 28th of June . (Daily Mirror online)
