Constable’s T56 robbed by two men

A T56 assault rifle belonging to a police constable who was on foot patrol in the Middeniya town was taken away by two unidentified men who came in a motorbike.
At the time of the incident the constable was accompanied by another police constable, the police said.
The police have deployed a special team into the area to arrest the two men under the directions of Tangalle SP C.A Weedisinghe. (G.A Nelson-Beliatta)
