Colombage promoted to the rank of Admiral

Outgoing Navy Chief Navy Commander Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage has been promoted to the rank of Admiral with effect from tomorrow (28), the Navy Headquarters said.

Chief of Staff of the Navy JayanthaPerera is to be assumed duties as the Commander of the Navy with effect from July 1.
