Former Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayake said that the Chief Ministerial post for the North Central Province will never be given to a candidate from Polonnaruwa

“ Anuradhpaura has seven electorates and Polonnaruwa has only three, so in terms of population Anuradhapura has the higest number of people residing. Therefore the post of Chief Minister will be given to a candidate from Anuradhapura” he said.

Speaking last evening, Dissanayake said that candidates with no political experience are making various statements to gain mileage. “People spread false rumoursto gain political mileage, but the fact remains that the Chief Ministerial post will be given on seniority and  to the candidate who has the most amount of political experience” he said.(Athula Bandara)
