All Deputy General Managers of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) will be transferred in a move to make the CEB a more efficient institution and minimize its losses, CEB Chairman Vidya Amarapala told Daily Mirror online.

He added that the CEB's loss for this year was projected at 40 billion rupees and that this was mainly due to the CEB obtaining electricity at a high unit price from private electricity providers and the loss sustained during the electricity manufacturing process.

Amarapala added these transfers were the first of many that were in line to shuffle up the administration to transform the Ceylon Electricity Board into a profit making institution in the country. (Daily Mirror online)
