The 13th Amendment should be amended if there were any powers that would be disastrous action in the country, Democratic National Party Leader Sarath Fonseka said today.
“If a Chief Minister has the power to make disastrous decisions, there should be a way to stop that,” he said.
He said there should be a new Constitution that could safeguard rights of all communities.
However, he said amending the 13th Amendment to the constitution was not acceptable under the present circumstances.
