A conman who had posed off as a Presidential Coordinating secretary and promised a person from Kandy that his son would be admitted to Dharmaraja College, Kandy if he was paid Rs. 500,000 was arrested by the Police.The Conman was arrested on information received by a suspect who was arrested for producing fake documents .

The master conman is a frequent contributor to the weekly and daily newspapers on topics regarding mental health and other related subjects. The Conman had posed as a Veterinary surgeon, a Lecturer and Doctor at the Peradeniya University, a British Citizen and a Presidential Coordinating secretary  among his other fake personas.

The man identified as Praveen Jayamaha  had apparently been married to several women faking his identity to all of them.
The suspect had created a fully fledged fake profile for all his personas including letter heads, identity cards, passports rubber seals and all other necessary equipment for his activities.

The suspect had also been a clergyman prior to leaving his robes. He was produced before courts today. The Police are conducting further investigations into the incident. (J.A.L.Jayasinghe)
