Brazilian FM due here

Minister of External Relations of Brazil, Antonio Patriota accompanied by a delegation of senior officials is scheduled to arrive in the island today on the invitation of the Minister of External Affairs, Prof. G.L. Peiris.

Minister Patriota will also pay a courtesy call on President Mahinda Rajapaksa, sources said. The visit will include bilateral talks led by the two Ministers and interactions with the leaders of the trade and business communities of Sri Lanka.

 Minister Patriota’s visit would be the first ever visit by a Brazilian Minister of External Relations to Sri Lanka. He will leave the island on Monday night. (Dianne Silva)
