Black outs in Colombo

A breakdown in the electricity supply had been reported in many areas in Colombo including Kollupitiya and Fort due to a break down of a High-Voltage Power Line, the Ceylon Electricity Board said.

The Board said that areas of Colombo 1, 2, 3, 11, 12 and some sections of Colombo 7 had been affected.

The break down had been reported on a high tension line to Kollonawa, the CEB said.

CEB engineers were attending to the breakdown the CEB sources said.
