The CID told a Colombo Court today that former presidential advisor Bharatha Lakshman Pemachandra’s wife Sumana and daughter Hirunika had made representations to the Attorney General’s Department on the killing of Mr. Premachandra.

It said the two had met Deputy Solicitor General MadhawaTennakoon.

CID ASP Shani Abeysekera said this during the non-summary inquiry into the killing of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and four others at Mulleriyawa.

Mr. Abeysekera informed Colombo Additional Magistrate Prasanna De Alwis that CID officers had discussed the matter with DSG Tennakoon on December 4 and 7 and he confirmed that the AG will submit his findings after studying the submissions of the parties concerned and case brief. (T. FarookThajudeen)
