Army begins recruiting youth from Mullaitivu

The Army has begun the process of recruiting youth from Mullaitivu at the Mullaitivu Maritime Divisional Secretariat, the Army said.

The recruitments are in the field of engineering, plumbing, welding, motor mechanism, masonry, and electricity will end on June 30 and will cover all Divisional Secretariats in Mullaitivu.    

The first phase which began on Thursday saw more than 50 applicants with the final selections made after two more interviews. The recruitment process will next move to Oddusuddan, Puthumattalan, Mullaitivu, the Army Headquarters said.

“The Tamil women who have joined the Army are presently serving at Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu closer to their places of residence,” the Army said.
