The Supreme Court today suggested relevant parties to hold talks and conduct an election to appoint officials to Sri Lanka Cricket within 3 months.

This comes after the United Southern Sports Club filed a Fundamental  Rights petition in the Supreme Court earlier on behalf of sports clubs, who were not able to vote to elect members to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board since 2004.

The petitioner claimed that they not being able to vote to elect SLC officials was against the Sri Lanka Cricket Board’s constitution. (Daily Mirror online)
