Wasantha Perera released on bail

Former UPFA Matale District Parliamentarian Lakshman Wasantha Perera was released on bail today. Perera was arrested on August 3 for allegedly abducting a political supporter and assaulting him in Matale.

Police said he was released by the Matale Magistrate on two sureties of Rs.250,000 each.
