Ajith Mannapperuma to succeed JJ

UNP Western Provincial Council member Ajith Mannapperuma will be appointed to seat left vacant by the death of Dr. Jayalath Jayawardena UNP officials said.

According to the results released by the elections commissioner for the 2010 General Elections Mr. Mannapperuma had obtained the next highest number of preference votes in the UNP candidate list.
