Afghan expat strangles Lankan girlfriend

KUWAIT: An Afghani expatriate was arrested for strangling his 33- year old Sri Lankan girlfriend to death using an electrical wire. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the murder of a woman in Fahaheel area, security men rushed to the location to find the corpse of a Sri Lankan woman.

Forensics officers found bite marks as well as marks of strangulation on the corpse and conducted necessary investigations. Security en managed to arrest the suspect within three hours. During interrogations, the Afghani expatriate admitted that he bit her and then killed her because he suspected that she was having an affair with his friend. The suspect was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him. (Arab Times)
