ACJU condemns attacks on Buddhist monks

The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) had condemned the recent attacks on Buddhist monks in Tamil Nadu, yesterday. The ACJU in statement posted on their website requested the Indian Central Government to take proper actions to protect the clergy visiting India. 

Earlier civil organisations and various groups in Sri Lanka had protested condemning the attacks on the recent attacks on two Buddhist monks in Tamil Nadu urging the Indian government to take stern action against the perpetrators.

The ACJU also pointed out that all religions should encourage respecting other religions.

It stated that it was Indian government’s responsibility to protect people visiting India and had requested the government to take swift action against the offenders  and to counter the damage caused. (H.F& L.P)
