Acid attack on two cops

Two police officers were hospitalised following an acid attack while they were on duty at the Mawanella District Court premises this morning.

Police said the two officers were transferred to the Kegalle Hospital from the Mawanella Hospital due to their critical condition.

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the attack and Mawanella police are conducting further investigations.  (Rohan Kumara)
