A Pakistani smuggler arrested at BIA

A Pakistani, who is alleged to have had in his possession some 6,000 tablets of Rivotril, was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport by officers of the Customs narcotic control unit. These tablets valued at Rs.300,000 are used in treating mental patients but is also rumoured to be used by students.

The Customs media spokesman said the Pakistani had arrived this morning from Muscat in an Oman Airways flight.(DS)
