Youth dies in freak accident

A 21-year-old youth was killed today when he fell from a three-storey building and landed on the iron rods projecting out of the parapet wall in Kirulapone, police said.

The victim, a resident of Kuliyapitiya, is alleged to have broken into the house and jumped from a window on the third floor in an attempt to escape the house owner who had confronted him.     

The youth was employed at a car sale in Kohuwala.
