Wilpattu: Last chance for Bathiudeen to file objections

The Court of Appeal (CoA) today, for the last time, allowed Minister Rishad Bathiudeen to file objections in connectionwith the petition filed by the Green Movement seeking a writ order to prevent Northern Muslim refugees from being resettled on some 2,388 acres inside the Wilpattu National Park on August 31.


He was the seventh respondent cited in the petition.The ten other respondents had already filed objections.


The bench comprised Court of Appeal President Vijith Malalgoda and Judge Padman Surasena.
