The member of Wennappuwa Pradeshiya Sabha, Dulakshi Chamodari Fernando (21) and her elder sister had been remanded until August 30 by the Marawila Magistrate for obstructing the duties of police officers at the CeyNor junction in Wennappuwa.
However, when the suspects were produced before the Marawila Magistrate's Court today, the Magistrate had ordered the councillor’s father (Saman Ashok Kumar Fernando) and her younger sister (Nimasha Navanjali Fernando) to be released on bail with three cash bails of Rs.100,000 and one surety.
