An employee, who worked at the copper factory owned by Insaf Ahmad, one of the Shangri La suicide bombers, had been re-remanded till July 8 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage today.

The TID informed Court that suspect, Karupaiya Rajendran Abdulla, had allegedly received two cheques in his name and therefore further investigation was being conducted.

Earlier, the prosecution said that the suspect had maintained a close relationship with the factory owner and time to time received money from him.

However, the Counsel appearing for the suspect denied the allegations about the two cheques and said that the prosecution was misleading the court, because his client had not received any cheques in his name.

The Magistrate directed the Prosecution to file a report on the next date whether there were cheques drawn in the name of the suspect or not.  (Shehan Chamika Silva)
