IP W.K. Saman Wasantha Kumara attached to the Police Narcotic Bureau, who was wanted by the CID over alleged involvement in drug trafficking, has surrendered to the Kadawatha Police a short while ago, police said.
The suspect would be handed over to the CID.
Earlier today, the police released a picture of the suspect IP seeking public assistance to locate and arrest him over alleged drug trafficking offenses.
The CID is conducting an investigation after several police officers were allegedly found selling drugs to drug dealers.
