A tense situation was reported at the 'GotaGoGama' after the pro Mahinda supporters attacked the protesters at the 'GotaGoGama'.
The protesters attacked and demolished the tents and structures at the 'GotaGoGama'.
Following the clashes that erupted at Temple Trees this morning where pro-government supporters attacked protestors at Maina Go Gama, the violent group of protestors proceeded towards Gota Go Gama, opposite the Presidential Secretariat.
The violent group which was allowed to enter the protest site attacked the Gota Go Gama site and antigovernment supporters destroying property. Police and security personnel deployed to the site were deficient as water cannons and tear gas were fired later on.
