US National Security Advisor telephones Gotabaya

United States National Security Advisor Robert Charles O’Brien had contacted President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday and offered US support to Sri Lanka.

NSA Robert O’Brien spoke with Sri Lankan President @GotabayaR yesterday and reaffirmed the long history of U.S.-Sri Lankan friendship and cooperation. They discussed the U.S. and Sri Lankan #Covid-19 response efforts,” The White House’s National Security Council (NSC) tweeted.

“NSA O’Brien also conveyed President Trump’s offer, on behalf of the American people, to provide needed ventilators to Sri Lanka. The strong bilateral relationship between the U.S. and Sri Lanka is an important part of a free and open Indo-Pacific region,” it added.
