While issuing an extraordinary gazette notification yesterday, Uva Province (UP) Governor A.J.M. Muzammil ordered to temporarily suspend the functioning of the Badulla Municipal Council with immediate effect.
Accordingly, the activities relating to the Badulla Municipal Council suspended from today.
He further said in the Gazette notification that the Governor ordered the appointment of H.M. Jeevantha Herath (Administrative (I) officer) to manoevre the functions of the Council.
